Mission Opportunities at New Creation
It is our passionate belief at New Creation that every member is to be involved in the mission of the church. For this reason our missions partnerships are with Christian organizations that allow for hands-on participation from members of our congregation.
Locally we partner with the Watered Gardens mission. Watered Gardens provides furniture and repairs for those in need. The Garden also provides referral services, spiritual counseling, chapel services, showers, clothing, food and meals. Every Friday from 10-2 volunteers from New Creation can be found at the Garden.
We are also involved in disaster relief efforts in our community as they arise. For instance, we were involved in offering hands-on assistance to those recently struck by tornados in our area.
Inter-nationally New Creation has a partnership with the United Sram Ashrams of India. The “Sram”, as it is affectionately referred to, provides seminary level education and vocational instruction for church planters, missionaries, evangelists and Christian workers. The context is thoroughly eastern while the teaching is thoroughly biblical. It’s been said of the Sram that it is “like serving the Gospel in an Indian bowl.” Our Pastor has had a relationship with Dr. K. Clement, founder of the Sram Ashrams for more than 25 years. Dr. Clement is one of India’s leading Christian theologians. The Sram is headquartered in Secunderabad and currently the Sram has more than 190 study centers throughout India.
