SUNDAY SCHOOL NOW!

 

New Creation has started Sunday School for all ages. Classes will begin at 11:20 a.m. and last for 45 minutes.

Adult/youth Sunday School will be studying "OUTFLOW"  a course developed by Steve Sjogren of Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the past fifteen years Vineyard has grown to more than 7,500 in worship. How did they do it? They used a very simple concept of evangelism based on acts of kindness.

With OUTFLOW you won't need to worry about memorizing formulas and sales pitches. This is everyday outreach for everyday people made simple. Out of a deeper, more passionate relationship with Jesus your enthusiasm to touch other people's lives with the gospel will begin to flow every day through acts of kindness.

New Creation is about to enter one of its most exciting stages of growth. OUTFLOW will help our congregation  get on the same page when it comes to evangelism. Please plan on participating. Classes will be fun, engaging and short!

Jane Mansley will be teaching children's Sunday School. Anyone wishing to assist her is welcome.

 

We are currently looking for additional volunteers who will assist in the nursery during Sunday School and worship. Won't you consider taking a turn one Sunday a quarter?

 

HEARFIRE FOR YOUTH

Breakfast Club will begin meeting on Friday mornings @ 7 a.m. We will meet at I-HOP (International House of Pancakes). BC will end promptly at 7:45 a.m. to allow students to get to school on time.

Cliff's Notes:               IN-BETWEEN

New Creation is  in the "in-between stage" of growth.  We've spent the last eight months laying the foundation for the future... we've identified what we believe, our purpose statement, our guiding principles, our leadership and what our basic ministry strategy will be. We've established a praise team, hospitality team, and elders. We've looked deeply into the Scriptures to discover how the early church developed and grew.

Today it strikes me that we're ready to break out of our infancy and experience a whole new stage of growth and development. The prospect of a new location has us fired up and seeing our future in a whole new way. We've prayed about our location, agreed unanimously as to where we should situate ourselves, and asked our elders to take action.

Obviously, negotiating a new church location takes time and involves a variety of people. We've also experienced a slight delay in the process due to some unforeseen circumstances. Nevertheless, by God's grace, we should make serious headway this week.

Please keep our leaders, realtors, and negotiators for the other party in your prayers.

NEW PRAYER GROUP

Over the past few weeks a new group has gathered to pray for New Creation Church. What a wonderful blessing! This prayer gathering is specific, intense and powerful!

If you are available to pray Tuesday mornings at 9:00 a.m. please join this group. Meetings are held at 6299 Castle Heights Road. Teri Fry is serving as the coordinator of the prayer gatherings. If you have any questions or if you have any prayer requests please call Teri at  417-529-5266.

DYNAMICS OF PERSONAL EVANGELISM 

 

Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 a new study group is forming to study "The Complete Evangelism Handbook." Whoa... sounds a little overwhelming. Not on your life!

Biblical evangelism is really not hard at all. Maybe you're struggling with a fear of rejection or a lack of confidence. Have no fear! This study group will give you the tools to become an effective, confident evangelist without people thinking you're some sort of weirdo. In fact, this study will actually be a lot of fun!

So get off your duffle bag and get involved with this study group. You'll love it!

There's no better time at New Creation to figure out how to get into the flow of what God is doing in the world than NOW!  He's all about bringing others into His kingdom... how about you? God's called all of us to "go into all the world & make disciples." Last time I checked that wasn't' an option. So let's get with it New Creation!

• Comfort Roberta Hoffman and her family as she grieves the passing of her mother Geraldine Meyer.
• Strengthen our elders & pastor in wisdom & discernment
• Galvanize each of us to do evangelism
• Deepen our love for one another
• Strengthen our Bible Studies
• Help us organize more small groups
• The effective work of the Joplin Area Ministerial Alliance as they work with the city to network churches, missions & agencies working with the poor
• Help us find a new meeting place this month
• Develop our hospitality toward those who are new
• Heal Mike Spellin as he struggles with his health at St Johns
• Strengthen our resolve to help the poor in our community
• Bless our partnership with Watered Gardens-pray specifically for more volunteers

• Prepare New Creation for a significant public launch in our community

BUILDING FUND

In anticipation of our first significant move New Creation has started a special fund to assist with the cost of our new facility. Your generous contribution will go a long way toward insuring our long-term stability and vibrant growth.

Some of us have an ability to give more and some less, but we all have the ability to give something. No gift is too small. All gifts will be valued equally.

This is a designated fund which will be used strictly for the lease or purchase of a building as well as its proper maintenance.

Please ask God for guidance as you consider your role in this vital endeavor.

CONNECTION CARDS

Have you ever tried to describe to someone where New Creation meets on Sunday morning? It's pretty difficult without going into a major description. Finding a pen and paper... trying to describe that we're only there for a couple of hours a week...we're back in the woods and what's the contact number and website? YIKES!!!

We want to take the hassle out of telling friends where New Creation is located. Sure we may only be here a short while longer, but time's a wastin'! Let's get the word out about New Creation.

Enclosed with this newsletter are some "Connection Cards". Don't be afraid to use them. Put them in your wallet or purse. Maybe you can stash some in your car or in your desk at work. Whatever the case... use them!

If you need more please feel free to ask Pastor Cliff or Jean for extras. No problem... we can make as many as you can give out!
